Thus far the Washed Out prod. has been my favorite track on the mixtape. I think the bleed between the new sample based chillwave and independent R&B (and trill ass hip-hop) has been explored by a lot of others. It seems like an ecstatic moment for fans though. It’s rare that two diverse cultures find themselves brought together over music that one would at first glance think of as disparate. I’m not saying that everyone who digs hip-hop has gotten down with Washed Out and How To Dress Well/vice-versa, but there’s definitely a dialogue there. I guess I just wanted to say that I think that’s tight.
